A new addition for 2026, introducing our dog Bear!
It's been almost a month since we wandered into Petco to kill some time while Dad ran into the grocery store. Walking in, the kids asked if they could get a fish and I said, "Absolutely not".
Instead, we came away with a new puppy.
There was an adoption event happening that morning with Charleston Animal Society and tucked away in the corner was this little Bear (who was called Myles at the time). All I can say is it felt right. He responded very well to attention from all 3 kids. He had an easy-going energy, which reminded me of my precious Alfie. And while we don't know for sure yet, he seems like he will be a medium size, which is my preference. He is settling in very well, loves a ball and a good bone. I am so happy to have a dog in the house again and glad the kids are getting the experience of a puppy.
