Life Lately

We are coming out of a stretch of sickness over here...stomach bugs, lingering coughs...  But I'm happy to get it out of the way (fingers crossed) so we can enjoy the holiday season.
Here is a recap of some of the last month.
--
Taco Boy Anniversary lunch.  We went to a comedy show and stayed downtown the night before...but the real treat was a slow morning and a lunch out without the chilluns.
9 years!!! <3333
--
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  The weather cooperated perfectly....despite both Wednesday and Friday being cold and rainy.  A Turkey Day Sunshine Miracle!
We were so grateful to everyone who came and we love having a full table, even if all of the chairs are mismatched...
Thankful for cousins!
--
I turned 38 last Friday!
Champage and Basil Take Out
And an afternoon at the spa Saturday.
--
This also happened Saturday...
We have had a highchair in our kitchen for 7 years.  The Mr. Baby absolutely refuses to sit in a highchair, as he thinks he is 4 years old.  So we said Goodbye to our Ikea highchair, and now these 2 are eating at "the little table" for lunches/snacks.  It's absolute chaos but it's fun to make the change.
Love this middle sister MB!
--
Sunday we put up the trees and decked the halls in our Christmas PJs...
--
I'm pulling out all of my holiday dresses/accesories to start putting some looks together.  Tonight is my first "Holiday Night out" to Avondale Wine and Cheese with girlfriends and then the next few weeks are jam packed.
--
If you need a calm moment during the madness, might I reccomend a cup of tea.  I picked this up because I am a sucker for the marketing but I'm really enjoying warm tea these days.  You know, now that I'm in my late thirties.........................

Ok, On Dasher on Dancer...
I'm outta here.
Ho Ho Ho

So long, October

November, what's up!

Here's a quick Halloween recap.

This year the girls were both princesses, so I decided to surprise them and dress up as Belle, with baby J as our collective Prince Charming.

I also spent a half day at their school for the Halloween Parade and the class parties.  It was SO much fun.
Trick or Treat
--
And now the Holiday season has officially begun!
We had some quick photos taken for our Christmas card out at Hampton Plantation in McClellanville.
This is one I snapped in front of this massive live oak that George Washington saved from being removed when he visited the plantation hundreds of years ago.  If you are looking for a little "field trip" from Charleston,  we had lunch at TW Grahams and then explored the plantation before photos.
The girls are working on their Christmas lists...
--
But FIRST,  I am starting my Thanksgiving menu this week.
And getting excited for a short "getaway" downtown next weekend.
We are going to see Steve Trevino at the Charleston Music Hall.  We saw him in Denver and we loved his humor.  This tour is called "I Speak Wife".

Fall Fun!

 We celebrated our special 7 Year Old last week!!!

In lieu of a birthday party this year, we treated EB and her besties to a fancy dinner down at Poogans Porch.  I loved how excited the girls got when the waiter told us stories of it's supposed haunting.

--
We had lunch down at Lolo's, right before Folly Beach, to celebrate my mom's birthday.  I have been curious about this place for a few years and it was good.  Their french fries were delish.

--
Tons of fun at John Wessely Pumpkin Patch ;)  In their defense it was 100 degrees out there.
--
We were able to visit Boone Hall on a Friday this year and it wasn't crowded at all.  I'm so glad because it made the experience SO much more enjoyable.
--
Still enjoying storytime with my bubs.
--
These are available at Starbucks right now and they are such a cute treat for the little ones.
--
Off to enjoy the Fall weather we're having!

Friday Highfive

 Happy Friday!  Here's a highfive for making it through the week!

--

{1}

Halloween fun...The big debate is whether to be Ariel in Mermaid or Human form.  TBD...

We swung through Once Upon a Child the other day to check out their costume selection.  We didn't buy the Yoda, but super cute he is?!

MB is leaning towards Rapunzel, because "purple makes her happy", but she also loves her new Belle dress up gown.  It will probably change 10 times before Halloween.--

{2}
Took the kids to the aquarium last weekend.  I believe it was J's second time.  He was loving it.

--
{3}
I visited a new thrift shop on Savannah Hwy this week.  I thought this bag was strangely cute, in a Mrs. Doubtfire sort of way.
--
{4}
Mr. J and I have started going to baby storytime on Thursday mornings.  There are days where I am exhausted from the demands of baby life, but I'm truly grateful to get to be able to do these things with him.
--
{5}
Planning to check this out on Sunday, otherwise just enjoying the cooler temps and hanging around the house.
--
Have a great weekend!

Back to School Happenings

The girls are off to a great start in 4K and First Grade.  This will be a big year of growth for both of them...exciting times!
--
Mister turned ONE!  We celebrated with all the cousins and cake and ice cream.

--
Kids Night fun.
--
Late afternoons at the beach are the best.
--
Moms Night Out at Mondos!
--
EB had her first slumber party experience with our family bffs
It was a fairy glamping theme and the girls had fun.
She was quite cranky and exhausted upon returning home.
--
That about brings us up to speed.
It's only Tuesday but I'm looking forward to chili, cornbread, and football on Saturday night!
Have a great week.
