Spring So Far

 Spring Break 2025!

This year was strange because the kids' schools had different Spring Breaks, with a few crossover days.  It definitely made me feel unorganized and off, but we made the most of the time together.

Angel Oak

Beach Day
Easter Celebrations
Strawberry Picking
Lots of backyard time
And most exciting off all, the girls had a special trip to Myrtle Beach with my mom.  They did the Pirate Voyage show and said it was great.   And the pool gets 4 thumbs up.
--
Other Spring Happenings....

We spent an afternoon down at Hazel Parker playground a couple of weeks ago.  There is a dog park adjacent and the kids LOVED playing with the dogs.  We think the time is coming......
Anyway, I took this photo in the park and love her genuine smile.
--
Date Night @ Home Team and a night cap at Gene's.  The best.

--
Ice Cream Picnic with John <3
--
Moms Gone Wild at Santi's!!
--
The legendary James Island Cowboys were giving rides at a Spring Festival we went to recently.  Nothing like driving down Secessionville and slowing down to pass a horse.

--
Chaperoned MB's first field trip to Magnolia Community Garden.
--
And that's a wrap.
One month and one day of school left for the year!!

Life Lately

Sharing a few snaps from the past couple of months.  Busy and fun times over here.
Valentine's 2025!
John's first Valentines Party:
--
The girls are big Hibachi fans... or as they say "Haboochi" or "Hoobachi"
Playgrounds with John.
--
St. Patricks Day 2025.  Parade and Girls lunch while John had school.

--
Recent thrift scores...
I have been looking for a frame for John's one year portraits forever and finally found one!
I am thinking a light blue matting.

It's costume jewelry but I thought this bangle was so pretty:
I can't recall if I've shared about this before or not, but a great little thrift spot in Charleston is Eliza's Attic, inside of Bishop Gadsen.  Check the hours before you go.
--
My mom brought over a bunch of her old platters and this is by far my favorite.  We are ready for Summer cookouts!
Bring on the beach/pool days!
--
Happy Spring!

Charleston Snow 2025

We had a few fun snow days this year!  We sadly didn't get to see any snow fall, it happened overnight and I'd say we got between 3 and 5 inches.  Charleston snow days come around once a decade if we're lucky, so we savored this special event.

The Mr. baby DID NOT like the snow at all, as he refused to wear gloves or a ski bib.  So that was a bit of a challenge for a man on the move.

Until next time.............

A Belated 10 Year Tribute

On November 22, 2024, K and I celebrated our Tenth Anniversary.  It's such a milestone to reach our first decade.  We have spent the past 10 years creating a happy home to raise our three children.  Providing a comfortable, cozy life but with structure and routines that keep things on the rails.  These Ten years have felt to me like establishing our foundation.  Laying brick after brick.  It's been overwhelming for us both- little sleep, lots of whining, money money money- but we have managed and kept humor and levity at the front.  This decade, the grind of it, has brought us right where we want to be.  We don't have a picture perfect life...there are many hopes and dreams left waiting.  But we're happy where we are, and there is no better place in the whole world.
