My Bridal Portraits

Hey hey, nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. Nielson!
We juuust got back into town from our honeymoon and I can't wait another minute to share my portraits with y'all.
It's going to be a wedding recap bonanza over here for the next couple weeks.
Get Ready!
--
These were taken on a gorgeous October afternoon, down at the College of Charleston, both my husband (eeee!) and I's alma mater.
My mom, dad, matron of honor, and my sweet Alfie made our way downtown in a flurry of hairspray and tulle to meet my photographer, Chris.
I'm thrilled, to put it mildly, with the results.
Take a peek...

This first photo I had printed jumbo for the entrance to our reception site.

In front of the Sotille House:

My baby!  He was not loving mommy in the big dress.

I really felt like I was living a fairytale in this gown:
One of my favorites:

This was the second print that was displayed by our guestbook:

This is a small collection of my favorites.  I hope you enjoyed.

I'm less than a week away from getting married and I can honestly say I am having the best time of my life.  This past Saturday night my Aunt Kelly gave me the most gorgeous Bridal "Luncheon" that there ever was down at Leaf.  The food, the company, it was everything I'd dreamed of.
I'm going to be signing off for a couple weeks to soak in every last second.

Highfive Friday

Happy Friday!
What are y'all up to?
Here are 5 things on my mind.

We are heading down to pick up our marriage license this afternoon
and then zipping over to Fish to discuss Rehearsal Dinner layout:
My mom and I did some last minute running around last night,
and I picked up a couple cheap treats for myself.
This $10 day planner from Target is super cute.  The inside is gold polka dotted.
Well I found a similar knockoff at Carolina Girls for $12.99.  While not quite wedding worthy, I think they will be perfect for my Rehearsal!
This are my lists for between now and Monday,
I'm zooming!
Well, that's only four but I gotsta go,
forgive me.
xoxo

Weekend Update

Friday night was fun heading back to JIHS for my first highschool football game since 2004.
K played football at Wando and so he was very excited to see them kick our butts.
I just loved the sights and smells, it took me back.
Saturday my mom and I continued wedding errands.  I can't wait to share the favors we made in a DIY post!
Later that night K took me downtown to Basil for dinner.  This was where we ate the night we got engaged.  I wore the same shirt, because I'm so cool.
Oh, and we had a drink at cocktail club beforehand, just like last year.
Déjà vu y'all!
At Basil we always order:
A glass of Kim Crawford SB and an Amstel light
Basil Rolls to share, Pad See Eu Chicken and Ginger Beef
Sunday my mom's best friend gave me a Bridal shower, I'll share pics of that soon!
We ended the weekend by seeing Interstellar at the IMAX.
It was a great movie, a tad long for my taste (3 hours), but it held my attention.
 Matthew Mcconaughey is so dreamy.
And that's a wrap.
How was your weekend?

Tomorrow night is our Engagement Anniversary!
Here's a snap from the next morning out at Charleston Cup.
I'm sad to miss the race this year but we are busy peeps right now.
Two weeks from today, I'll be sitting on the porch of the beach house that my parents have rented for the weeks before and after our wedding.
I intend to have all loose ends tied up in a bow by that point, so I'm posting my remaining To Do List now.

Thirsty Thursday

I'm attending a coworker's retirement dinner tonight, and in light of that celebration, I wanted to share a couple recent favorite drinky drinks.

We bought a six pack of this beer the other night and enjoyed it while grilling up some chicken breasts.  It boasts hints of peaches and pecans, but I simply enjoyed that it's both bold and smooth.
And I mean, it's festive so I love it!
--
A couple weeks back, when we saw Gone Girl at The Terrace, we shared a bottle of The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc, and it was delicious!
I'm a huge fan of New Zealand SB's, Starborough being my favorite, but this one was so great.
Leaving the theater I couldn't stop talking about the wine, not the movie.

Thanksgiving is 3 weeks from today,
oh and also I'm getting married in 2.
Cheers!

Halloweekend

What a gorgeous and crisp Monday morning!
I feel revived and refreshed after a both productive and relaxing weekend.
How about you?
--
Friday night we indulged in Melvin's take-out.
Not pictured is my bacon cheeseburger.
This has got to be one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
I woke up early for Body Combat at Golds Saturday morning.
Sidenote: Did anyone do the JI Connector Run?
I was planning to do it but, obviously, didn't make it happen.
I met my mom at 10:30 am for a dreary & cold day full of errands.
Finally made it home and we cozied up to watch the Gamecocks.  Oh my word, I don't think I've ever watched a more depressing/frustrating game! Bummed Out.
(Hey, check out my sweetgrass coozie!  These were part of my Bachelorette giftbags.)
Sunday we cleaned house and had my parents over for chili.
I always put corn in my chili, I love the little crunch.
And that's it for our weekend, how was yours?
